Board Members Job Responsibilities 

The board have a fiduciary responsibility over the organization, they are legally responsible for the actions of the organization. The board in many ways provide leadership and direction to the organization. They ensure that the organization achieve programmatic excellence and fiscal strength by continuously and actively provide oversight of:
 
● Mission development and long-range planning
● Financial management
● Resource development and fund raising

Albert Oduho is the current Board Chair.  He has been an active member of the organization since its inception. Before becoming the Board Chair, Albert was a State and Provincial Representative, Secretary of Finance, and the Secretary General. Albert in his capacity as the board chair brings his extensive experience in community organization and knowledge in financial and project management. Albert currently works in the department of Design Engineering as a Nuclear Engineer at Shippingport PA.  Prior to joining the Design team in 2011, Albert worked as plant system engineer managing various systems in the department.  As a lead design engineer, Albert has managed a number of projects.  Albert graduated from Saint Vincent Collage at Latrobe in 2008 with a BA in Mathematics and a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh in 2009.

                   
                                                                                            
 Lilian Vitale is new to the board member. She has worked for South Sudan Human Rights Commission helping in the establishment of the commission in 2006 to 2007. She then joined the United Nations World Health Organization to work as a program Associate for HIV/AIDS department visiting the field and taking Office administrative work. She was the secretary for women Affairs for her community in Juba. She was an active member of the Refugee Youth group in Arua- Uganda she formed an Anti-AIDS Club group one of the active and successful group undertaking sensitization programs in the Refugees communities in Arua-Uganda. She worked as a community Development officer with the German Development Service (DED) an implementing agent of UNHCR solving and reporting Sexual Gender Based Violence (SGBV) and Crime issues to the Office of DED. Organizing communities for meetings and community work. Lilian lived in Uganda during the Sudan civil war as a Refugee until she attained her Bachelor degree in Social Science in 2006 from Makerere University Kampala- Uganda. Lilian won an award for being the best girl in academic excellence and a role model for girl Child Education promoters in the Settlements. Lilian completed her master’s degree course in Development and Emergency Practice in 2010 from Oxford Brookes University in the United Kingdom. She moved to the United States and lives now in Portland Maine.
